About

I am a scholar, curator, and literary translator whose work engages Turkish and migrant cultural production across literature, film, visual culture, and critical theory. I have taught at New York University in Berlin and served as an NEH Visiting Associate Professor of Media Studies at Hartwick College.

I previously served as a tenured Professor of Literary Arts and Studies at The Evergreen State College in Washington and directed the Writing Center at Soka University of America. My Ph.D. is in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Irvine.
